How to Master Kids’ Morning Routine?
#1 Make sure your kids get enough sleep:
It’s a known fact that kids who don’t get enough sleep won’t be happy when the light comes on in the morning. Thus, your little one must get enough sleep. Make sure that they go to bed on time. Do not let them play late hours or give them smartphones or any other gadget.
Encourage them to relax before bedtime. You can read a book or practice any other relaxation exercise with them.
#2 Make the backpacks the night before:
Nothing beats the time-tested strategy of finishing and packing your schoolwork the night before. When everyone is operating at full speed, that means one less thing to do in the morning and helps maintain the flow—and your sanity. Making the backpacks the night before could be quite helpful.
#3 Get up at the same time every day:
Who among us hasn’t considered pressing the snooze button once or twice? The most successful morning people get up at the same time each day, which helps your body’s internal clock determine when it’s time to get up and go. Even if you enjoy sleeping in on the weekends, waking up at the same time each day will give you the best chance of succeeding in the mornings throughout the week.
#4 Let the light shine in:
Open the window blinds as soon as the alarm goes off to let the morning sun in. In contrast to the gloom, light helps us wake up more quickly. When your children wake up, have them open their blinds or curtains. Get out of bed and turn on the light if you wake up before the sun.
#5 Start your morning with a power jam:
Themes songs have a motivational quality. Simply play their current favorite song or a timeless tune like Eye of the Tiger at seven in the morning to motivate the troops.
